EXPERIENCE
Roger Glover has worked directly or indirectly with over 250 businesses, one-man to corporate, some leaders in their respective fields. E.g. as Sales Executive for Charles Barker, London, he was responsible for handling the multi-million pound marketing for Midland Bank (HSBC) - all divisions. At BCA, Yorkshire, in addition to working on the £9 million national press Comet account, he developed sales and provided creative input for major accounts inc. Flamingo Land leisure (TV and print); Bea Fastenings; and Lin Pac packaging. He then co-managed SWG, a tiny partnership at first, helping it become a major agency responsible for promoting local and national organisations inc. Humberside County Council; APV food and farming machinery; Carpet Kingdom stores; and several Mail Order catalogue retailers. As The Glover Connection he has provided hundreds of businesses with full creative and international multi-media marketing services, inc. Eltherington (over 35 years) - a major fabricator & stockist of glazing, uPVC and aluminium products; an American patent agent (18 years); Afos food processing and medical equipment (10 years); and BNL bearings manufacturers (9 years).
Our Team.
ABOUT
Roger Glover has experience stretching back over 40 years. He left grammar school to join a principal provincial advertising agency and within two years was working for a top-20 London agency as a production controller. During this time he backed up his skills with print, economics, marketing and graphic design certification. Within a further 3 years he was an account handler with the UK's 5th largest advertising group.
Returning to Yorkshire he progressed to become a senior account executive with the largest agency in the region before setting up a new partnership for which he was responsible for sales, marketing and creative copywriting. Within 5 years, the business expanded 40-fold to become one of the primary agencies in the area. Encouraged by the success Roger started his own company (currently a sole trader), The Glover Connection, in 1988.
